curious　[ˈkjʊrɪəs] adj. (more curious; most curious) 

詞析魔法：

curi-關心 + -ous….的 → 關心的, 好奇的。

cur- 

= care, 表示「關心」，來自拉丁語。

-ious 

表形容詞，表示「…的」，用於化學領域表示「亞酸的，低價（金屬）的」。

詞源說明：

1 - 來自 cure,關心，關切。

2. curious as Lot's wife好奇心重。《聖經》中記載，由於上帝實在無法忍受索多瑪（Sodom）這座城市居民的邪惡，決定毀滅該城，但住在索多瑪的羅得（Lot）一家卻都是好人，於是上帝派兩個天使帶羅得一家提前出城，並叮囑他們無論如何不要往回看，但羅得之妻實在忍不住好奇心，回頭一看，自己變成了鹽柱。 ​​
