1. be good/skillful at + V-ing/sth.                                       擅長於某事

例 句：

1. John is good/skillful at __________ basketball.  (John擅長打籃球。)

2. Mary is good/skillful at math.  (Mary擅長於數學。)

補 充：be poor/weak at + V-ing/sth. 不擅長於某事。

2. help sb. with sth./(to) V                                         幫助某人做某事

例 句：

1. The boy needs his parents to help him __________ his homework.

(這個小男孩需要父母親幫他做作業。)

2. I have to help my mother __________ the house.  (我必須幫我母親打掃房子。)

3. something difficult                                             某件困難的事情

說 明：修飾不定代名詞(如something、nothing、anything、everybody、nobody等)的形容詞必須置於不定代名詞之後。

例 句：

1. Money is __________ __________.  (錢是重要的東西。)

2. His coming late is __________ __________.  (他遲到不是一件奇怪的事情。)

4. S + Vt (leave/keep/find/make) + O + OC (adj.)

說 明：不完全及物動詞(如leave、keep、find、make)的受詞(O)後還需加上受詞補語(OC)，如形容詞，使其句意完整。

例 句：

1. We __________ his wife __________.  (我們發現他老婆很漂亮。)

2. Doing exercise __________ him __________.  (運動使他強壯。)

3. It's cold. Please don’t ______ the door _______.(天氣很冷。請不要讓門開著。)

5. keep/go on + V-ing                                           持續進行(某動作)

例 句：

1. I heard John keep/go on __________ Mary personal questions.

(我聽到John一直問Mary私人問題。)

2. The teacher was very angry because some students kept/went on __________ in class.  (老師非常生氣因為某些學生在課堂上一直說話。)

6. A allows B to V                                                A允許B去做某事 →B be allowed to V (by A)

例 句：

1. My mother doesn’t allow me __________________ alone.(我媽媽不允許我獨自去游泳。)

2. Mary is not allowed __________ at home.  (Mary不被允許在家裡抽煙。)

補 充：permit (准許)與allow的用法相同。

7.  “what + S + V” as an object

說 明：what可引導名詞子句，當及物動詞或介系詞的受詞。

例 句：

1. Now you are free to do ____________________.

(現在你能自由地做任何你想做的事。)

2. Please write down ____________________.  (請寫下你想說的話。)

補 充：此處what可以代換為the thing(s) which/that。

8. What/All (that) + S + V + be + (to) V

說 明：what在此引導名詞子句做主要句的主詞，此處的be動詞一律使用「第三人稱單數」。

例 句：

1.  What/All (that) our parents want us to do is (to) behave ourselves.

(我們的父母希望我們做的事就是舉止合宜。)

2. ___________________________________________ is (to) follow the traffic rules.

(警察希望駕駛員做的事就是遵守交通規則。)
