Dear Joseph,
Thank you for lending me your camera. I took it with me on the trip to Green Island, but when I arrived at the hostel I was going to stay in, I was shocked to find that it was gone. I looked everywhere for it but it was no use. I wondered if I had left it on the airplane so I called the lost-and-found at the airport, but they said nobody had turned in a camera. I’m deeply sorry about this, and I have really felt bad over the last few days.
Joseph, let me buy you a new camera exactly the same as the one I lost. I’d like to treat you to dinner as well. What do you think? Please tell me when you are available and please forgive me for my carelessness. I’m still your best friend, right?
Regretfully,
Helen
