動詞 insure, 與 ensure 發音相同

但是 用法與意義 相異很多

1.insure : 保險

2.ensure : 保證, 擔保

後面接受詞

A. ensure + O.(事)(正)

ensure + O.(人)(誤)

ensure + O.(人) + O.(事)(正)

(雙受詞/兩個受詞)

ensure + O.(人)

against (/from) + O.(事)

為人或事或物 "投保", 著重其經濟價值,

常用 " 被動 " 語態 表達.

句型:

保險的名詞:

二. ensure :

表達普通的 " 保證 ", "擔保" ," 確保 " :

句型1.: ensure + O.(事)

(只要帶著這封信去,你必然能獲得晤面.)

三. assure [ ə `ʃʊr ] :

是"保證", "使深信",有時可和 ensure 通用,

注意:

主動時

須用人稱代名詞或指 "人 " 的名詞作受詞.

句型:

assure + 人 + of + 事

= assure + 人 + that + 子句

句型1.:

1.主動: 向(某人)保證....,使(某人)確信...

= S.(人) assure O.(人') that 子句

I assure you of her safety.

I assure you that she is safe.

注意:

assure 不能 接 "不定詞 , (/ to V. )"

2. 被動:

句型:

四. guarantee [ ,gæ rən `ti ] : 保證

指 對 "事物的品質", 或 "人的行為"

而提出的 "保證"

( 常用被動 : )

句型:

(( S.(物) is guaranteed for 一段時間. ))

This watch is guaranteed for five years.

(這隻手錶 保證/保固 五年.)

(( guarantee + (that) 名詞子句 ))
