"同意" 動詞三劍客

一. consent : + ( to + O.(受詞) )

強調 "順從對方要求"

[ kən `sɛnt ]

例1.

He consented to

his daughter's marriage with Tom.

( 他同意(/順從)他女兒與湯姆的結婚. )

二. assent : + ( to + O.(受詞) )

指 "認為對方所提意見很有道理,

而予以同意"

[ ə `sɛnt ]

例2.

He assented to

the proposed change in the schedule.

(他同意 被提議修改的行程表.)

三. concur : [ kən `kɝ ], 是正式用語,

強調 "(大家)不約而同的同意"

例3.

All of us concurred in the decision

to postpone the meeting.

(我們都同意 會議延期的決定.)

consent /assent to + O

1. to 是否為“介系詞”？

2. 其 “O” 是否只能接 “ 事情”，不可以是 “人”？

3. 若想表達 “同意某人某事”，句型為何？

1. to 是 介系詞, to + O.(事)

也可以是 不定詞 ( to V.)

例1. to + O.(事)

I assented to his plan.

(我同意他的計畫.)

例2. to V.(原形)

The judge assented to allow

the defendant to speak.
